Committees

Starting in early 2010, NNNC board will guide new initiatives through committees of Board members and voluntteers. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for more information about how to get involved.

  • Resource Development Committee
    Responsible for general fundraising and resource development such as product donations and in-kind contributions. Researches and responds to grant opportunities and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Sets fundraising goals and plans activities for the organization.
  • Partnership Committee
    Responsible for developing local and national partnership opportunities for the Neighborhood Networks National Consortium (NNNC). Leverage existing and new relationships to support activities of the NNNC and its member centers/consortia.
  • Technical Assistance / Training Committee
    Responsible for developing training models for member centers and consortia. Responds to technical assistance requests made by consortia members and coordinates and/or facilitates the requested TA.
  • Public Awareness Committee
    Promotes the Neighborhood Networks initiative nationally and creates awareness of its work and success. This committee will also develop informational materials and develop relationships with various media outlets
  • Finance Committee
    Develops, manages and monitors the NNNC budget. Manages the day-to-day finances of the NNNC including all accounts opened by the NNNC. Provides budget justifications for grant proposals and fundraising activities.
  • Membership Committee
    Responsible for identifying new Neighborhood Networks centers (NN) for membership in the NNNC and maintaining existing members by ensuring attractive membership benefits.
  • Special Event Committee
    Responsible for annual fundraising events.
  • Executive Committee
    Provides overall direction for the organization and ensures the NNNC is achieving goals and objectives defined in a strategic plan. Establishes a revolving evaluation and review panel for funding requests received from NN centers and consortia.
